Today we woke up early and met up with friends for a playdate at the botanical gardens. I couldn’t help myself. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Too much beauty to take in. Fragrant everywhere.
With Levi strapped onto my back, I squatted, leaned, and held my breath. Snap, snap, snap. And then, “Hey, Levi! Stop pulling my hair!”
I added my favorites to my portfolio. They are in the floral gallery.

I can practically catch the fragrance through the screen of my laptop, with all of that gorgeous color and light you’ve captured in your photos. I would have been like a “kid in a candy shop” too! I’m so ready to soak in the fragrance and color of a garden in bloom! Thank you for sharing these images!

Thank you Aisling! And you’re welcome. It is my pleasure to be able to be in a garden, photograph its beauty, and then to share my work with others.
I can’t wait to see what your garden brings later this month. You always inspire me with your green thumb, :-)
Absolutely love the colors and the close-ups! So beautiful!
When I was in D.C., I visited the Botanical Gardens and am thinking you were in the same place. It was a very, very warm April day and we got “caught” with our feet in the fountains!

Wow! I remember a fountain as we were leaving the “desert” but can’t recall a place where we could actually dangle our toes . . . I’ll have to keep my eyes open for that next time.
It is always a huge treat to visit the botanical gardens (and so warm too . . . a great treat at the beginning of March, :-) ).
Wow, beautiful! I love number 6 and the last one the very best.

Me too . . . I wish I could be more selective . . . I know other photographers select their favorite shot from the day/week. I just can’t! There were too many faves for me, which I guess is a good sign . . . I’m actually starting to like my work, lol.
Beautiful photos! Makes me very anxious for spring. Maybe I’ll have to find a botanical gardens to visit while I’m waiting.

Absolutely. Our friend commented that he wanted to move into the gardens for help with his sinuses. Because I also have bronchial issues, I told my husband we could get rid of our humidifier. Visiting the gardens definitely made me feel more hopeful for what is soon coming, :-)
stunning photos!
