Crafty Gardener, thank you!

Tabbie, we're still waiting for our butterfly weed/bush to bloom. But it is definitely robust. I'll have to pay closer attention to the autumn seed pods . . . not sure what to look for.

Aisling, yes, the pink flower is on a bush/shrub and it grows wild around Reston, where we live. After looking at google images of spirea, I think it is one and the same. Thanks!

Is that pink flower on a shrub or more like a perennial? It looks a lot like the spirea that I grow - which is a shrub.

Awesome cucumber! I think it is wonderful you are able to garden at your townhouse. It's good to see the Asclepias/Butterfly Weed in full bloom now...such stunning flowers! The seed pods in autumn are quite interesting too.

Thank you for the thank you! I'm so glad you've been strolling along with us!

Your close-ups are so wonderful! The color and detail just mesmerize me. I never thought I liked orange until I became a gardener. It is like an exclaimation point of cheerfulness where-ever it appears in a garden!

We love the turtles that appear here too. I like your idea of a pet from the universe!

I love that little cucumber shot!

I spent yesterday weeding, since all the rain we've been getting has been feeding the weeds as well as preventing me from getting outside to pull them as often as I need to!

I'll be posting my stroll in a little while.

I enjoyed this post, especially loved the words "free pet from the Universe" That is so cute. That is how I feel about the deer that sleep under the brush in my overgrown backyard, LOL!
