Okay, so I have a strange neurosis regarding floor cleanliness and not wearing shoes indoors. Sometimes I even wish I were Asian so I could simply tell people that they have to remove their shoes because it’s a cultural thing. My husband looks a bit like Keanu Reeves, so I guess we could lie . . .
Anyway, to read more about my obsession with clean, green, and healthy floors, go on over to 5 Minutes for Going Green and read “Shoes Off!”

Come to think of it,Matt does look like Keanu! I totally agree with your shoeless fetish! It makes sense to protect your family everyway you can. I would happily remove my footwear and doubt that many would be offended. A client of ours does this due to cultural practices and keeps an assortment of slippers ready for guests with an extra large pair, special for my husband!
The only thing I miss about not having an internet connection in our home is my daily dose of your blog. Please, please, please keep posting. It really helps me develop as a parent and person.
Thanks so much,
Courtney (now a Texan)
Thank you Courtney. I’m happy to keep blogging my heart out. I miss you but am happy that Texas is now home to yet another good mommy.
Ruth, your comment made me laugh. I can just picture Al shuffling around his client’s home in a pair of extra roomy slippers. LOL!
